Abstract EN

The purpose of this study is to identify the effectiveness of cloud computing in developing cognitive achievement and retention of learning (impact of learning) of students of educational technology course at Taibah University, as well as to determine the effectiveness of cloud computing in developing their attitudes towards it.

To achieve these aims, the study relied on the descriptive and quasi-experimental approaches, and selected a random sample of (70) students from educational diploma students of Taibah University-Yanbu branch) during the second semester of the academic year 2014 / 2015.

Results revealed ineffectiveness of cloud computing in developing of cognitive achievement of students (study sample), and indicated that there is effectiveness of cloud computing in retention of learning, and also found that there is effectiveness of cloud computing in the developing positive attitudes for the students due to faster access to their applications and their services through computers or other devices.

So it is recommended to make further studies to ensure the effectiveness of cloud computing in developing cognitive achievement at other universities, preparation of a guide or booklet for professors and university students to learn about the use skills of cloud computing applications and services to encourage them to take advantage of them at the university level.
