Abstract EN

Written is a divine blessing and a mark of civilization.

It is not surprising when ALLAH swears by written:"NOUN,I swear by pen and what they write by it" and the prophet insists in science by writing when he says:" save knowledge by writing."KAlso it is not surprising when many great scientists and writers noting the importance of writing with the obligation to learn it.

The stranger matter is the absence of a persuasive and convincing theory about the writing first appearance.

Further the most both theories hereby relay on flimsy arguments that could be considered much more as fairy tales and mythical piece of information.

This last is found regardless of the importance as well as the need to it.

We attempt to analyze and criticize both theories to found a fair idea that could be useful for writing especially for Arabic writing.
