Research.

this study is based on the contrastive interpretation of two different settings; namely the desert and the forest.

It assumes that the difference between them has lead to a shift in how the world is perceived both on an intellectual and cultural level.

It has also lead to a shift in the tools of expression.

Contrastive interpretation has been applied here to a demonstrative element, namely the "nasba visible", since the desert is a setting laden with motifs.

The aforementioned interpretation eventually lead to different pathways that explained the difference between the two settings in question through which their effect on perspective, thought, and expression was examined.

The following notions were examined: setting and perspective, the essence of culture, the embodiment of civilization, the complexity of the text, loving poetry, and the maze of the novel.

From each one of these elements came a contrastive dualism that involved similes and metaphors, writing, symbolism and, finally, fate and destiny.

The methodology adopted in this study, contrastive interpretation, was first proposed by Dr.

Mohamed Bazi in a scientific project within the theoretical framework of the contrastive analysis theory in different books which have been referred to here.

I first started with an introduction and then went on to examine how human beings interact with the universe on three different levels.

This was a result of a contrastive analysis between the East and the West, culture and civilization which we believe are the most significant contrastive elements in this research.

This study made use of both contrastive analysis and semiotics, which were Al-Jahiz’s most important tools of rhetoric.

It is believed that it is an important secular and interpretive portal that allows us to examine and study interpretation, taking into consideration the fact that the entire universe is open for interpretation as well as different perspectives.
