Abstract EN

This paper aims to address the phenomenon of language borrowing in the Arab terminology of telecommunications on two distinct levels: that of creation and that of use.

To do this, it tries, on the first level, to define the concept of borrowing as a method of terms creating in Arabic lexicology, and also to identify its different types in Arabic.

It attempts, on the second level, to determine the reasons of its use in the Arab world between necessity and luxury.

Furthermore, it highlights the impact of loan terms on the Arabic language between lexicon enrichment and barbarism.

It proposes finally a set of suggestions and recommendations that could at least contribute to approach this issue.
