Abstract EN

In this article, I study the aesthetics of place which is the most important component of poems and the backbone of the aesthetics of the poetic discourse addressed to child.

This is through a poetic collection that won the Prize of Sharija for children’s literature in 2008, entitled « Nagham Ala Nagham » by Kahtan Birkadar.

The collection contains thirty-one poems with different goals, themes, artistic and rhythmic structures.

In this work, I start from a theoritical basis, in which I talk about the definition of place with its types, subdivisions and connotations in the Arabic and Western critical lesson, as well as the need to work on the aesthetics of place in poetry in general and in that addressed to children in particular.

Then, I move to practical examples in which I highlight the poetics of those places found in the poetic collection « Nagham Ala Nagham »
