Abstract EN

The holy environs are considered the focal point of Hajj.

It is located in the north east side of Makkah.

However, the increasing number of pilgrims and the limited available spaces have become a source of worry for those in charge of Hajj affairs.

This study which concentrated on Arafat area and depends on literature review and field data, discuss the crowd issue, identify existing situation in Arafat area and the congested sites and the reasons causing them to become congested and unsafe, and presents solutions and suggestions to reduce crowdedness and achieve safety and security for pilgrims.
