Eco-tourism is an important economic activity in natural regions worldwide and a rich ground for achieving development strategies.

It allows visitors to live with a rich experience with nature, biodiversity and knowledge of local communities, as well as providing economic benefits to support the development of these regions.

Eco-tourism plays an important role in encouraging communities to establish new relationships between people of different lifestyles and environment .Many consider eco-tourism as an effective way to protect natural environment and to create social and economic benefits for local communities and raise their level of well-being.

The study examines the concept, principles and importance of eco-tourism as a sound source that supports development and its vital role in tourism industry, especially in Middle East, with its rich natural, cultural and heritage assets.

The study focuses on the case of New Valley, which has many opportunities for development of eco-tourism, through study, evaluation and classification of natural, heritage and archaeological tourist places, and study role of eco-lodge as an effective supporter of eco-tourism development by examining the complementary relations between selection of effective places for establishment of eco-lodge, tourist places, programs and trips proposed for guests to ensure comprehensive coverage of all regions.
