This paper aimed at shed light on a very important issue, which is belongs to the strategic importance of the straits in general, with special focus on the bab el mandeb strait, that characterized by significant economic and commercial importance, also its role at the marine navigation and the energy supplies, and in other hand its aimed at analyzing the strait activity affected of the security threats increasing especially from the currently Yemeni conflict, and the paper found that there are several political and legal factors made the bab el mandeb strait activity affected negatively
