Most of Algeria's successive constitutional texts have affirmed the right of members of Parliament to establish investigative committees within the competence of the Parliament in each case a public interest.
In this context, the amended Algerian Constitution of 2016 states that "every Chamber of Parliament within its competence may establish at any time commissions of inquiry in the general interest.
"Which was confirmed by most of the internal systems of the Parliament”
