Abstract EN

The openness of the Arabs and Muslims to the West resulted in their learning about various sciences and curricula.

They applied them to their linguistic heritage despite the epistemological differences between the two civilizations.

The structural approach is among the linguistic approaches that the Arab linguists brought from the West, which calls on approaching the language away from its different contexts.

The present paper attempts to address the problematic of applying the sturctural approach on the Arabic language.

It aims, thus, at answering the following question : How valid is the applicability of the structural approach on the Arabic language and its literature, from the point of view of Pr Abdurrahman Hadj Saleh ?
