This translated report considers the demographic features of Jerusalem from an Israeli perspective.

It is an excerpt from the 2018 Yearbook produced by the Jerusalem Institute for Strategic Studies, and presents elements on all social, economic and demographic aspects.

It presents data on the Jewish and Palestinian inhabitants of Jerusalem, beginning from the Israeli premise of a united Jerusalem in its approach to the data and considering the Palestinian inhabitants to be part of the broader population of Arabs in Israel.

Nonetheless, the information available in this text is important for an understanding of demographic developments and population balance in Jerusalem.
