Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the effectiveness of using the 4 MAT strategy in teaching physics on students’ achievement and on developing integrated science processes of secondary stage students in Taif.

To achieve this aim, the quasi- experimental design was used.

The sample of the study consisted of (103) secondary stage students divided into two groups : control and experimental groups.

The two groups were taught two units in physics ; the experimental group was taught using 4 MAT strategy whereas the control group was taught using the traditional method.

Two tests were developed ; an achievement test of the two units in physics and an integrated science processes test.

After the implementation of the post-test on the two groups and conducting appropriate statistical analysis, the results of this study indicated that using 4 MAT strategy in teaching physics for the students in the experimental group has improved students’ achievement in physics and developed their integrated science processes in comparison with the control group.

In light of the study results, some recommendations were introduced.
