Energy is an important element for achieving sustainable development if its supply is a key factor in boosting production, stability and growth, providing job opportunities, improving living standards and reducing poverty.

The question of the study is whether there is a positive economic return to using solar energy In Egypt ?, the importance of the study to support renewable energy leads to the achievement of sustainable development, and the study to test the validity of the following hypothesis: there is a positive economic return for the use of solar energy in Egypt, and the research aims at the trend towards the use of renewable energy to increase Access to services and infrastructure as a means of reducing poverty and improving the quality of life in general.

The treatment of energy poverty is a very important part of this transformation.

The research is based on the method of inductive analysis.

A research study was carried out in the literature on solar energy and its impact on economic development.

The study recommended the necessity of encouraging the private sector to invest in this field, and the need to use foreign companies that have experience, and benefit from international experiences, especially Arabic.

Such as the UAE, and the need to introduce tax legislation that encourages investment in this field.
