Abstract EN
The main objective of this study was to find out the effect of the parallel exchange market premium on macroeconomic performance in Algeria, during the period 1977-2014.
The analysis focused on three key elements that represent important macroeconomic variables: economic growth, inflation and exports.
The methodology of the Autoregressive Distributed Lag Model (ARDL).
The empirical results showed that the parallel exchange market premium negatively affected inflation and exports, while for economic growth the effect was positive.
In addition, the CUSUM test and CUSUMSQ clearly show the stability of the model during the estimation period
