This article discusses the challenge of sustainable development in Algeria.

What is the reality of sustainable development in Algeria through its programs and policies? We have relied on an analytical descriptive approach, and on a set of statistical indicators to assess sustainable development policies in Algeria.

It is still far from achieving the objectives of sustainable development in Algeria, because there are several challenges that hamper its development.

However, we emphasize that Algeria has the potential and resources to catch up with the developed countries and achieve comprehensive and sustainable development.
