The study aims to understand the importance of applying e-learning to improve the ranking of Algerian universities in the order of Webometrics, which focuses on the degree of the University's commitment to use the Internet to present its resources to be used by others.

Interested in the outputs of scientific research as the location of the university in the classification according to them indicates the extent of development and efficiency.

One of the most important findings of the study is that e-learning is a basic pillar and an important dimension associated with the standards of the ranking of universities according to the classification of Webometrics, which enables the Algerian universities to improve their ranking according to this classification through activating the e-learning application.
