Abstract EN

The article comes in introductory preface in which the author talks about the Christianization movement in South Saharan Africa since 1880 mentioning the most prominent missionary activities in Senegal, Mali, Algeria, and Morocco as neighboring countries to Mauritania.

The article is divided into four sections and a conclusion.

The first section talks about the history of Christianization and explains the efforts of the missionary organizations which include twenty one regional and international organizations and the history of its advent, the scope of work and intervention, and origin.

The second section talks about the different stages of Christianization in Mauritania which are (stage of sowing and attraction, penetration and starting, and the stage of extracting results) the third section talks about means and methods of Christianization in Mauritania and the mention of (Governmental institutions support, exploitation of civil society organizations and bodies, opinion leaders and the elite) The fourth section talks about the Islamic counter Christianization efforts which include (governmental and individual efforts).

In the conclusion, the author talks about the main obstacles facing both governmental and individual efforts to face Christianization.
