The study aims to reveal the percentage of the appearance of the child's image, his characteristics, the suitability of his images, and special education needs in the Arabic language book for early years: 1-4.
The study was based on the strategy of analysing the content (one of the analytical survey techniques).
The sample of the study consisted of all Arabic language books from year 1 till year 4.
The researcher prepared the study tool consisting of the following six centres: (image of child either a boy or a girl, areas of growth, children's personal characteristics, child’s image suitability, child's tasks, and images of people with disabilities) to analyse the four curriculum books To redefine the child's image by calculating the repetition of the child image in the six centres of the tool, and then building this tool after reviewing the educational studies related to children and deciding the six centres of the tool and the vocabularies that are used in every one of the six centres.
The study concluded that the children from both gender have been mentioned more in year four book comparing to other years especially year one.
The focus on the personal characteristics of the child imagine in the four grades was the main purpose of this study followed by the image of the child who belongs to his nation then the child who loves his friends.
The study came into a conclusion that the image of the child in the curricula is suitable and not sarcastic.
The study also came to a conclusion that the main aspect of the child image in Arabic curricula was his relation with others, followed by the jobs he does in the garden or his local area, however there was appearance for the disable children.
The study recommends to used realistic pictures that are closer to the child world, so he can easily recognize it, connect to it indirectly and find himself easily in those pictures.
The study also recommended that the curricula should contain more pictures for disable Children.
