The current descriptive study aims to identify the parents' perceptions of their children’s school project and to assess their level of ambition in achieving their own project of educating their children, as well as to show the differences in their perceptions of that educational project due to their educational and economical levels.
This study was applied to a random sample of 120 parents, including mothers and fathers of secondary education students.
A "parents' perceptions of the children's educational project" questionnaire, built by the two researchers and used as an essential tool study, was distributed to the sample members.
The questionnaire included three axes: evaluation of the parents’ educational and economic level , parenting / socialization method , parents’ attitudes towards the study and their aspirations in the project.
Some statistical methods were used to analyze the obtained results.
The main findings of the study are summarized in the following: • Parents are highly and positively perceiving their children’s project study.
• There were statistically significant differences in the total scores of the sample members on the "parents' perceptions of the children's educational project" questionnaire, which were attributed to the parents' educational level, benefiting the educated parents and intellectuals.
• There were statistically significant differences in the total scores of the sample members on the "parents' perceptions of the children's educational project" which were attributed to the parents’ economic level.
