Rosita Forbes was known for her passion for traveling and roaming the world.

In August 1921, she decided to embark on a journey to Jeddah and from thence to the holy city of Mecca to perform Pilgrimage, pretending to be a Muslim whose name was Khadijah.

Although she stopped in Jeddah having made her mind not to complete her journey to Mecca,Rosita's writings about Jeddah contain important information not just because of the significant aspects they cover, but also because they have not been translated before, to the researcher's best knowledge.
