Orientalists contributed greatly to the realization of the manuscript heritage, and thus multiplied European schools, including: the French school and represented in one of its flags, Levi Provençal, who had contributed in this field, which still attest to the height of his heel in it.

Provençal presented several works specialized in the revival of the manuscript heritage, especially mentioning: the collection of Andalusia, based on what he wrote in the book "Alrod el- miatar fi khAbar el- aktar," and selected from it what concerns the cities and geographical places in the country of Andalusia, and thus made it easier for researchers to know this Bekaa without having to bother searching for it in other sources.

This work continues to be adopted because of the scientific value of such geographical texts.
