Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the geographical distribution of health care centers in the city of al-Khobar and their adequacy and efficiency, which would contribute to the development of future vision for redistribution as well as concentrate on the satisfaction of the auditors of those centers.

The study showed the extent of the apparent disparity between the number of health centers and the number of residents and employers at the level of al-Khobar City where al-Aqrabiya center was the top health center registered by 11.1 % of the total population in the study area employers where Petromen Health Center reach the lowest percentage by 2.7 %.

The study has shown by using the closest neighbor that the pattern of population distribution of primary health care centers of Al-Khobar City is a divergent pattern, which refers to the distance required to reach to the health center.

The study also showed the increased number of health centers leased buildings, that lack of health services planning standards, such like reception halls and waiting places for the women and others.

Accordingly, the study recommends to increase the number of primary health care centers, and providing support services to all health centers in health education, which constitutes one of the most important goal, where a number of members expressed their needs to set up courses and health lectures on chronic diseases and how to prevent them.
