Abstract EN

This study aims at identifying the theoretical foundations of preparing general education teacher according to inclusive education system.

also, the study aims at reviewing attitudes of these teachers towards applying inclusive education in addition to identifying suggestions that share in developing these teachers.

order to achieve these aims, the two researchers analyze literature related to the study subject beginning from 2010 to 2017.

the study reveals that there are some foundations that support performance of general education teacher in inclusive settings.

the most important foundations include good university preparation, acquiring skills of cooperative work and in-service training.

also, findings reveal that there is difference in attitudes of general education teachers towards applying the inclusive education.

these attitudes are positive and negative attitudes.

moreover, these attitudes are related to some factors, the most important ones include pre-service preparation, training courses and previous work experiences with the students with disabilities.

the study reaches some suggestions that may share in development of the general education teachers towards applying the inclusive education.

the most important ones include the ministry of higher education identify the suitable standards of programs of preparing the general education teachers or modifying programs of preparing general education teacher with the need to continuous evaluation of these programs.

based on findings of the studies reviewed and the vision of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia for 2030, the study reaches suggested framework to develop programs of preparing general education teachers in inclusive classrooms in line with the introduction and applying of inclusive education in six schools at Riyadh area and looking forward to expand future experience to include all areas of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
