Abstract EN

The current study aimed to design a training program, investigate its effectiveness in developing the skills of special education department students in designing and implementing programs of modifying the behavior of people with special needs.

tools of the study included the scale of skills of designing programs of modifying the behavior of people with special needs, the scale of skills of implementing programs of modifying the behavior of people with special needs and the training program.

the researcher adopted the design of one group.

the study subject consisted of(30) special education department students at the faculty of education, jazan university.

they were selected from students whose grades were lower than the average on the study tools.

the training program included25 training sessions, 2 sessions a week.

based on the statistical treatment, the following results were obtained: there were statistically significant differences at 0.01 between the mean scores of the experimental group of special education department students in the pre and post measurements of the two study scales.

the effect of the program was found to be significant and the effectiveness of the program was verified by black equation, haridy equation and effect sizes.

the continuous impact of the program was verified during the two-month follow-up period following the program's implementation.

the results were discussed and recommendations and proposals for subsequent study were suggested.
