Abstract EN

This research investigates the modern human resource management practices in Algeria.

Our study aims to: a) understand the different human resource management practices, b) explore also the application of these practices in Algerian companies.

The method of this study is descriptive analytic research, using some literature on this subject.

This paper showed that many successful companies are adopting modern human resource management practices in order to develop their performance and to stay more competitive.

In other hand Algerian companies are late in this area and many traditional practices are still applied in different function.
