Abstract EN

this study investigates attitudes of journalists towards journalism as a profession in the Arab world.

It also identifies challenges that journalists are facing in Saudi and Egyptian under rapid development of new media technologies.

The study used questioner tool to gather data from 200 Journalists from both countries.

The results of this study concluded to number of findings and recommendations.

The most important challenges are facing journalists nowadays are; lack of freedom of speech, unfair reward of salary and financial compensation, and continued decline of newspapers distribution due to development of new media technologies.

The study also showed a statistically significant correlation between impact of technological challenges and performance of journalist's professional work.
