Abstract EN

the study aims to reveal the relationship between creaitveitye cognitive styles and psychological empowerment among faculty members at King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah, and some demographic variables (gender, social status, specialization, age, and experience).

The sample of the study consistes of (81) (male and female), Faculty members from different departments of the King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, The measurement were Creative Cognitive style Scales (Kirton), this scale was translated into Arabic by (Safaa el assar-Heba Sery), And psychological empowerment Scale (Rafat Jamil), was applied on the sample of study.The results indicated that there was a statistically significant correlation between the creaitiveitye cognitive style and psychological empowerment of Faculty member regarding, The results also indicated a difference in the creative cognitive style in related to the variable (gender, social status, specialization, experience), all of which are at the level of (0.01) significance, The results also indicated that there was no difference in creativeitye cognitive style regarding to the variable (age).

The results also indicated a difference in the psychological empowerment regarding to the variable (gender, marital status, specialization), all of which are at the level of (0.01) significance; the results also indicated that there was no difference in psychological empowerment regarding to the variable (age, specialization).

The results showed that there are significant differences between the two styles of creative cognitive thinking in the direction of the (Innovation) style in the study sample of the professors of King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah
