English Abstract

The current research aims to identify: 1- The level of mental openness among preparatory school students.

2- The level of mental openness among preparatory school students according to the gender variable (male and female) 3- The level of open-mindedness among the students of the preparatory level according to the study branch variable (scientific - literary) The current research was limited to a sample of (1000) students from the preparatory level (male- female) and branch (scientific - literary) for the academic year (2018-2019), and the scale consisted of (30) paragraphs in its final form and has been verified the psychometric characteristics of the scale of accuracy and stability, as it reached stability factor (0.81) reteste an 83 in t e Cron ac ’s alp a met o , an a ter completin the preparation of the research tool applied to the final research sample, the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) was used in the processing of data and the reach the following results: 1- The students of the preparatory level have a open-mindedness.

2- There are statistically significant differences in the level of open-mindedness according to the gender variable and in favor of females.

3- There are no statistically significant differences depending on the branch variable (scientific- literary)
