Abstract EN

As King Saud University suffers from high demand of university education by female students who did not qualify to enroll directly in the regular university programs; therefore, it has established the College of Applied Studies and Community Service, to provide a number of transitional programs.

The importance of the study is represented in introducing transitional programs as a fundamental measure to increase the absorptive capacity of universities, and increase graduate studies and research.

The researcher used the descriptive analytical methodology, with population (368) female students.

The study included 18 problems, including lack of spaces in the college building, lack of several branches, lack of places for leisure between lectures, and lack of financial reward for female students.

The study recommended the provision of extra buildings for the college, allocating financial reward for transition programs' students; similar to their colleagues in the university, and provide qualified and experienced faculty members.
