Abstract EN

This study focused on the historical side of the oil concessions in Al-Salccf Peninsula in 1331-1345H (1913-1926).

It is an historical and documentary type of study.

It deals with the early stages and the later development of the oil concession and the reaction of other regional countries towards this privilege.

The study proved that the political event in the Red Sea had hampered the contracted British Oil company from getting the oil concession.

The study also proved that another force came into play represented by the King of Hijaz and Sultan of Najd who imposed his control over the territories of the Idrisi State at the time and canceled the contract* the matter which was overlooked by numerous sources.
