Abstract EN
It is essential that there are several ethnic, religious, and nationalistic minorities in many parts of the world.
Muslim countries are not an exception as many minorities, Muslims and Non-Muslims, lives in such countries.
The point under question here is various rights of such minorities with respect to thinking and belief and practicing their religious and cultural rituals.
In addition, the way that is necessary to provide them with sufficient liberty to enjoy their civil rights and safeguarding them with some guarantees like any other citizens of the majority as recognized by many divine religions and national and international laws. The reality proves that all constitutions, national laws, and political systems in Islamic countries take into its consideration the rights of all citizens without discrimination whether such an individual is from the majority or the minority.
Majority and minority were living together for such a long time and they were treated equally inside one nation.
There is historical evidence that minorities in Muslim countries have had such an important role in various government positions, including the army, hospital, ministries, and the judiciary as in the case of Iraq in the Federal Supreme Court.
The Islamic Jurisprudence recognizes the difference between Islam and other religions based on the Quranic Verse "For you is your religion and for me is mine." Moreover, it prohibits persecution of religious minorities and considers it injustice that is contrary to Islam.
Accordingly, what has occurred and is occurring in some Islamic countries against minorities has no religious basis.
In addition, the existence of some odd incidences against minorities is an attempt to distort the reputation of Islam and it does not belong to Islam whatsoever
