Abstract EN

This article aims to an overview of ancient and contemporary studies about acoustic units and their effect on the quality of langague of speech, from a phonological point of view.

In return for the founds of the Arabic language researchers, we notice that they didn’t only focused on the acoustics studies related to the physiological characteristics of sounds, Nor their efforts have been limited on studying the relationship between phonemes and graphemes.

But, they extended their researches to the acoustic tracks related to rhetoric, while indicating the existence of a link between the sound and the meaning.

Therefore, we intend to talk about two things this article: the first one is the relationship between the sound and the eloquence ، the second one is the relationship between the sound and the meaning.
