Abstract EN

This research examines the Quranic rhetoric especially the features of metaphor and simile in the Quranic Chapter “Amma”.

The study consists of three sections: an introduction, three topics and a conclusion.

After introducing the topic, I moved to explore the concept ‘simile’; then I discussed the general features of “Amma” Chapter in the Holy Quran that are congruent with the rhetorical terminology employed in the study.

Finally, I supported the research argument with rhetorical investigation for three issues in metaphor and another three in simile.

The research arrived at the conclusion that there is aesthetical harmony between simile and metaphor on one hand and the topics dealt with in “Amma” Chapter on the other hand
