Abstract EN

This study aims to highlight the impact of small and medium enterprises on the economic development in Algeria, especially since it has become characterized recently by the interest of many countries, especially the developed ones, and this refers to the group of characteristics that characterize this type of institutions, which affects the GDP, which Is reflected in the development of exports as well as unemployment by providing it for jobs, while ensuring training and gaining experience.

The study concluded that the number of small and medium enterprises is still low, and this is reflected in the indicators of economic development.

These institutions are still affected by the problem of property, the problem of finance and credit, the instability of legal texts, marketing and storage problems, economic obstacles such as lack of consistency in economic policies, and the shortage of trained and experienced workers.
