Ancient Arab linguists have shown their broad and profound interest in linguistic research at all levels of phonological, morphological, syntactic and semantic.

We will limit all this study to some issues that are alerted and understood by the of Islamic scholars of jurisprudence, indicating their interest in the language growth and expansion; Especially since their proper understanding of the nature of language, as a tool for thought, was the first and fundamental foundation in their search for some aspects of the idea of language growth.

The scholars of the fundamentals of jurisprudence were, perhaps, the first to treat the problem of term and its meaning in the historical link that is intended to be invented and applied.

Their studies and research revealed their understanding of important aspects of the semantic change in language over time, under conditions of use, and in various influences, of changes and semantic evolution that relate to language life and the experiences of many people.

As a result of the interest in the language of the scholars of the fundamentals of jurisprudence, they arrived to provide research in the language that is today at the heart of modern linguistic research, towards the study of the principle of languages, measurement, truth, metaphor and interpretation, as well as what they presented in the semantic sense, what is known today as discourse analysis, semiotics and pragmatic, which is still a modern studies in the field of linguistics.

In this paper, we will discuss the concept of trope among those scholars and its impact on the development of Islamic jurisprudence, while attempting to explore the concept of trope and its interpretation as a stand-alone subject in modern linguistics and show the similarities and differences between linguists and scholars of the Principles of jurisprudence in this matter.
