أثر التجارة الخارجية على النمو الاقتصادي في ليبيا : دراسة قياسية للفترة (1970- 2014)‎

Abstract EN

This research studied the relationship between external trade, and economic growth during the period of 1970-2014.

The main objective was to clarify the relationship between foreign trade, and economic growth in an attempt to show the effects of the process of trade liberalization in the national economy during the mentioned period using the ARDL model.

The results showed that there is a common integration relationship between the variables of the study in the long term, and that exports have a positive and statistically significant relationship with the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the long and short term, while imports are inversely related with GDP in both long and short term, also the results showed that the error correction parameter is 0.23, which is significant at the level of significance of 1% for negative sign, this increases the accuracy and validity of the equilibrium relationship between variables in the short term.
