English Abstract

In recognition of the major role played by medical personnel during wars, the international laws were put in place to work on finding a comprehensive system to protect them while carrying out their humanitarian duties.

In Palestine, the Israeli occupation authorities continue their violations against the medical staff has exposed them to risk their own lives; and/or impede or prevent them from carrying out their rescue mission.

This study was to identify the medical staff and the existing international humanitarian laws to protect them, as well as to shed a light on the daily violations against the Palestinian medical crews because of racism and crime against them and the consequences of those violations occupation practices.

Finally the study explored ways to enhance the protection of medical personnel mechanisms, both at the local and regional or even global level in order to allow those teams to safely practice their mission to the fullest.
