Abstract EN

The emirs and caliphs of Andalusia gave great importance to the subject of the position of the crown prince, because the stability and power of the state requires the smooth rotation of power without the opposition or interference of the mothers of the emirs in their sons' assumption of the position of the crown prince.

they found in Andalusia several models in the state of the position of the crown prince, because the system of government was hereditary.

therefore, some emirs expressed their opinion to resolve the issue of the position of the crown prince in their lives, and some did not resolve it which results in problems of inaugurating the assumption of power or competition of more than a person in the right to take power, according to his view.

moreover, the role of the chamberlain since he has great role in the political side in Andalusia, because the power of the chamberlain is the second authority after the emir or caliph, as a prime minister, the post was taken by prominent figures who had a major role in the political life of Andalusia.

the research, entitled the role of the intellectuals in the political aspects in Andalusia, the position of the crown prince and the chamberlain as the sample, (138- 897A.H.

/755-1492 A.D.), is to highlight the opinion of emirs and caliphs in determining who is eligible for the position of the crown prince and how to approve it, in addition to highlighting the role of the chamberlain and the importance of their opinion in Andalusia, and then stating the research results.
