The aim of study was to know the effect of the information gap strategy on the acquisition of historical concepts among the first grade students in the medium.

to investigate the research goal .

the researchers put forward the following hypothesis, there were no statistically significant differences at the level of (0,05) between the average scores of the students of the experimental group who studied the history subject using the information gap strategy, and the average score of the control group, which was studied in the usual way.

to achieve this, the experimental method was chosen as a research method, and the center of al-Khalis district was selected as a place to conduct the research, a sample of students from the academic year (2017-2018) was chosen for the intermediate students which arnounted to (78) students consisting of two experimental groups and the number of them(40)student and the second officer and number(38)student there are no female students in the sample, parity was achieved the previous academic achievement and by the age of the students calculated by months, the test of historical concepts was selected as a tool for research, at the end of the experiment, the researcher used the appropriate statistical tools for research and found a difference in a favor of the experimental group, in the light of the findings of the current research, several con elusions were drawn as recommended by the researcher with a set of recommendations.
