The research aims at investigating the relationship between the cognitive balance and the taict knowledge of sample(510) of the university of Baghdad students.

(255) of the sample is male and(255) female.

the cognitive balance scale is constructed according to the Haider definition, pilot study and literature review of the related previous studies.

the scale of the taict knowledge is constructed according to(sternberg,2002) definition and related previous studies.

the two scales have been submitted to the statistical analysis of the multi-coefficient correlation factor to find out the relationship the cognitive balance (dependent variable) and the taict knowledge, gender and specification(independent variables).

the results show that the level of the cognitive balance is lower than the population mean and the level of the taict knowledge is higher that it.

this indicates that the university students have taict knowledge and there is significantly statistical relationship between the cognitive balance and the taict knowledge and there are no differences in the linkage of the cognitive balance and taict knowledge depending on the speculation of the type and specialization.
