Abstract EN

the aim of this study is to figure out the relation between the television , as an information tool with both picture and sound characteristics and the individual with hearing impairment , as a user audience with special features .

His hearing impairment will lead us to disclose the nature and the type of this use in addition to an impact in which only one characteristic is present , the picture , in terms of the uses and gratifications theory .

Through a field study on a test subject of 115 individual, boys and girls , suffering from total or partial deafness or hypoacusis in the city of djelfa .

The results of the study showed that the use is indeed present as a result of search for knowledge or entertainment…which is the most important hypothesis of the theory however the problem of the language seems to make meeting the informative needs and getting the desired gratification a tough matter since , they resort for a company at night and on holidays as a habit that covers the missing aspect during the show .
