This research aims to define citizenship and related concepts and to reveal the most important characteristics and representations of contemporary social thought.

He concluded that citizenship was the result of permanent intellectual struggle, of a flexible and renewed concept, which was a means of achieving efficiency in society and had multiple implication: legal, political, social, economic, cultural, psychological, and even environmental.
