Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the degree of public secondary schools efficacy in jordan from the point of view of their teachers through the scholastic year (2016/2017) among about (1384) secondary schools.

random samples were selected from the study community which reached to (505) schools, disseminated in three districts.

the study relied on the analytical descriptive approach using a questionnaire to collect the data, which consists of (117) paragraphs divided into eight areas: head teacher, teacher, student, teaching, facilitating, local community, school supervisor and curriculum, which their validity and reliability were guaranteed by the researcher.

the study unveiled that the level of government secondary schools efficacy was average.

the teaching area came at the first rank; the facilitating area came at the last rank.

there is statistical significant difference in the study sample estimating to the level of government secondary schools efficacy attributed to gender in favor to female and there is a statistical significant difference in the study sample estimating to the level of public secondary schools efficacy attributed to district in favor to city.

the researchers recommended to provide material and facilities to support and increase public secondary schools efficacy.
