Abstract EN

This study aims at discovering the reality of the early intervention services provided for deafblind children from the point of view of the service providers and their families.

In order to achieve the study objectives، the analytical descriptive approach was used where the study sample consisted of (20) employees who provide early intervention service for deafblind children and (20) families of deafblind children.

Two questionnaires were developed and applied upon the study sample: the first questionnaire was given to the providers of early intervention service and the second questionnaire was given to deafblind families.

The validity and the reliability of each questionnaire were ascertained reaching (0.89)، (0.83) rates respectively.

The study revealed that evaluations of the early intervention service providers and deafblind children families were medium.

The study also revealed that their evaluations for diagnosis and assessment with its tools were high where their evaluations for the modified curricula for deafblind children were low.

The evaluations of early intervention service providers for the trained personnel and rehabilitation services were medium، and the evaluations of deafblind families for training families and involving them in the preparation of educational plans at home were low.

The researchers recommended that the administration of early intervention service centers should provide enough training for deafblind children families on how to deal with them properly.
