Abstract EN

The research seeks to reveal the impact of learning based on brain theory on the achievement and mathematical thinking skills of the ninth grade students in the schools of the Directorate of Education in southern Hebron according to the method of teaching and sex and the interaction between them.

The researcher used the experimental method to achieve the objectives of the research.

The researcher selected a purposive sample of (132) students, divided into a controll group of (37) male and (33) female students, and an experimental group of 36 male and (26) female students.

The subjects were examined twice: pre teaching achievement and mathematical thinking skills tests, and then applied after teaching the control group in the traditional way and the experimental group using brain-based learning theory.

The results of the study showed that there are statistically significant differences in the means achievement of students and mathematical thinking due to the method of teaching.

The differences are in favor of the method of learning based on the theory of the brain.

Also, there are no statistically significant differences due to sex and the interaction between sex and the method.

In the light of these results, the researcher presents a few recommendations, most important of which is that the Ministry of Education should conduct training courses for teachers to employ learning based on the theory of the brain in teaching mathematics
