Abstract EN

Librarianship and documentary science provide the various sciences with the information and documents necessary for their development.

it runs and organizes various knowledge and disciplines, while librarianship borrows from other sciences methods, terminologies, and laws that help it to develop and build a systematic base and a solid theory.

although librarianship does not have a research methodology of its own, it provides a very important research area through which many approaches can be applied, thus contributing to the expansion of its general problem.

it is the intervention of many specialists in many fields of knowledge.

recognize that this problem can only be conceptualized in a multidisciplinary framework.

hence, the problem of this study raises the following questions: •how have these theories and statistical methods been used in the field of libraries or other sciences in an attempt by researchers to formulate and answer questions related libraries? •what are the main contributions in the field of library research that have used theories and methods of this discipline? •how can these studies and statistical laws be used in library science and documentation in the future? this is what we will try to answer through this paper, which represents a scientific approach to the concept of bibliometric studies and their uses in library science.
