Abstract EN

The objective of the study was to identify the level of sport awareness among the students of al-Balqa Applied University in Jordan and to determine the differences in the level of sports awareness among the students according to the variables (gender, faculty, year of study, place of residence).

to achieve this, the researcher used the descriptive method and the questionnaire as a tool for collecting data and information from a random sample of (1000) students.

the results of the study showed that the level of sport awareness among the students of al-Balqa applied university in Jordan was low (1.56).

the study showed that there were statistical differences in the level of sport awareness among university students according to the gender variable in favor of males.

differences in the college variable were in favor of the humanities colleges, in addition to statistical differences in the variable of the year of study that came in favor of the second year.

the study showed no statistical differences for the variable of residence.

the researcher recommended that there is a need to increase educational programs for university students on the fields of laws, knowledge, ethics of practice, and encouragement in order to increase the level of sport awareness among university students.
