This research paper aims to analyze the reality of social protection in Algeria as well as to know the efforts exerted to establish and activate it.

The paper concluded that social protection in Algeria since independence to this day has been a major development reflected in many organizations and decisions and that the ability of the social protection system in Algeria to meet the increasing needs is dictated by economic and social conditions.
