Abstract EN

The study aimed to know the relationship between the types of the personality which are, according to (Eysenck), the dimensions of the personality (the extroversion, the introversion, the intolerance, the emotional balance) and the level of the emotional arousal at the basketball players, in addition of knowing the relationship between the sportive performance and the emotional arousal level at the members of the sample, because the study was tested on a sample formed from two teams of basketball which belong to the national excellent section of the 2011/2012 season, in order to study the relationship between the types of the personality and the levels of the emotional arousal at these players which belong to the teams of elite, and to study also the amount of affection of the sportive performance with these variables.

we used for that study the descriptive analytic method which is suitable to the studied subject, as well as, the searcher depended in choosing the sample on the random process, and we used in collecting the data two psychological scales which are: Eysenck personality questionnaire (EPQ) and the emotional arousal scale , and after getting the data , we treated them statistically using the collection factor pearson and the levels’ collection factor spearman in order to study the relationship between the variables.

afterwards, we arrived to the following results: there is a correlative positive relationship between both dimensions of the extraversion and the intolerance and the emotional arousal level at the basketball players.

our research resulted also that there is a correlative negative relationship between the introversion dimension and the emotional arousal level at the basketball players, and we also arrived to the fact that there is no correlative relationship with moral significance between the emotional balance dimension and the emotional arousal level at the basketball players.
