The objective of this research is to measure the impact of reinsurance on the solvency of Malaysian takaful insurance companies during the period 2012- 2016, The study found that there is a positive impact of reinsururance on the solvency of Malaysian takaful insurance companies.
As an increase in the volume of reinsured contributions would raise the solvency ratio of these companies.
